Milana Vayntrub, the face behind AT&T’s beloved Lily, has a story that spans continents. Originally from Tashkent, Uzbekistan, she immigrated to the United States with her family as a refugee fleeing religious persecution. Despite her young age, Milana’s journey into the spotlight began early. At just two years old, she started her acting career with appearances in Barbie commercials, later landing roles in shows like “ER,” “Days of Our Lives,” and “Lizzie McGuire.”
While attending Beverly Hills High School, Milana’s passion for acting led her to drop out in her senior year to pursue her GED. She continued her education at the University of San Diego, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in communication. However, it was her love for comedy and improvisation that truly ignited her career. Milana honed her skills at The Upright Citizens Brigade theater, eventually gaining recognition as one of the Live Prude Girls on YouTube, which opened doors to more significant roles in mainstream media.
Milana’s breakthrough came when she landed the role of Lily in AT&T’s advertising campaign. Her portrayal of the witty and relatable character resonated with audiences, leading to the creation of over 40 commercials. Despite her success, Milana’s journey extends beyond the screen. Inspired by her own refugee experience, she co-founded #CantDoNothing, a charity focused on aiding victims of the European migrant crisis. With her talent, compassion, and dedication, Milana continues to make an impact both in the entertainment industry and in humanitarian efforts, promising a bright future filled with possibilities.
