At 71, George Strait Confesses She Was the Love of His Life

King of Country George Strait is a great artist whose influence transcends his genre. Only Elvis and The Beatles have sold more copies of his songs, which have topped all charts. But his accomplishments continue. His love for Norma, his high school sweetheart, is shown in their long marriage. They’ve persevered since losing their daughter.

While working on his father’s ranch in a rural town, George developed his musical talent. His longstanding partner, Norma, has supported him and even toured with him. George regularly thanks her for her persistent support in their high school love tale.

George persevered through early career difficulties to achieve chart-topping successes and a successful cinematic debut in “Pure Country.” Norma loved and supported him throughout.

They now have grandchildren, which brings them delight. George and Norma founded The Jenifer Strait Memorial Foundation to remember their daughter after her untimely death.

On their 50th anniversary, George sang “I Cross My Heart,” thanking Norma for her commitment and affection. Their longtime relationship inspires viewers and proves real love works.

George still loves music and hopes to tour with Chris Stapleton. Norma is his steadfastest supporter.

Finally, George Strait’s career and love for Norma demonstrate the power of music and real love.
